1. Who we are

KeysInsured (“KeysInsured”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website keysinsured.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by Conversions Media Limited, 11 Sanderling Court, Abinger Grove, London, SE8 5TE, United Kingdom. For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, Conversions Media Limited is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

KeysInsured is an independent comparison and referral service. We are not an insurance company, and we do not issue insurance policies.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use the Site, you may enter your ZIP code. If you continue to a quote form, which may be operated by us or by one of our partners, you may provide details such as your name, address, email, phone number, date of birth and information about your home and current insurance.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, the time and date of your visit, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We also record campaign and tracking parameters included in the link you used to reach us (for example, an ad click or sub ID).

Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies, including advertising and analytics tools such as the Google tag and Google Ads conversion tracking, to operate the Site, measure performance and show relevant ads. See “Cookies and advertising” below.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the Site and route you to relevant home insurance quote options for your area.
• To connect you with insurance companies, licensed agents, brokers and other partners who may provide you with quotes.
• To measure and improve the Site and our advertising, including attributing visits and conversions to campaigns.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on these legal bases: performance of a service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Site and our marketing, your consent (for example, for certain cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We may share information with:

• Insurance and marketing partners, including insurance carriers, licensed agents and brokers, and lead and comparison partners, so they can provide quotes or contact you about the products you asked about. These partners use your information under their own privacy policies.
• Service providers who host the Site, provide analytics, advertising measurement, customer support and security, under contracts that limit their use of the information.
• Advertising platforms such as Google, through cookies and pixels, to measure and optimize ads.
• Authorities and others where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Some of this sharing may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or “targeted advertising”, under certain US state privacy laws. See “Your privacy choices” below.

5. Calls, texts and emails

If you submit a quote request on a form that asks for your consent, you may be contacted by the insurance carriers, licensed agents and partners named or described on that form, by phone, text message or email. Consent to be contacted is not a condition of purchasing any product. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link, reply STOP to text messages, or ask a caller to place you on their do-not-call list.

6. Your privacy choices (including Do Not Sell or Share)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• know what personal information we collect, use and share, and access a copy of it;
• correct inaccurate personal information;
• delete your personal information;
• opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising;
• not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, or to make any other request, email support@keysinsured.com with the subject line “Privacy Request”. We also treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser.

We will verify your request using information we already hold, and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

UK and EU residents also have rights to object to processing, restrict processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

7. Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Site to work, and others for analytics and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of interest-based advertising through tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and your Google ad settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal, accounting and reporting requirements, and then delete or anonymize it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International transfers

The Site is intended for users in the United States. Our operator is based outside the US, and information may be processed in the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

11. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “last updated” date.
